The Butterfly Connection
The Butterfly Connection presents its third annual season of mostly new works
and adaptations.
The new season represents the diversity in artists working within
the framework of the TBC multi-arts collaborative. In addition to the regular season
TBC is providing some new programs to reach into the pockets of DFW for new talent,
new audiences, and new adventures.
The 2008 season will kick off with a city wide general audition opened
to all actors/singers/dancers. The audition features a plethora of non-profit
theatres and other special entertainment industry leaders. At the Cowtown Cattlecall,
talent will have an opportunity to audition for Casa Manana, Theatre Arlington,
Jubilee Theatre, Circle Theatre, Teatro de la Rosa, Crime Scene Company, The Butterfly
Connection, and Eclipse Entertainment, and many more paid and non-paid opportunities.
The event is sponsored by Eclipse Entertainment, the industry leader in corporate and
private parties.
On May 31st, TBC brings 200 college students into Sundance Square for a
day long competition to win the chance at two round trip tickets to Austin City Limits.
In ArtsRace these students will compete in 9 different activities centered around the arts
when one task is completed they move onto the next. The first team that finishes all 9
tasks and makes it to home base wins the competition! ArtsRace is brought to you by the
Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County.
Finally, TBC presents the High School Film Competition. It's simple: make
a movie and the best one wins. A panel of judges will review all submitted films and the
winner will be featured at the Rose Marine Theatre on the big screen! Don't miss this
opportunity to see your vision on the big screen.
Look forward to other new and dynamic programs popping up announced and
unannounced from The Butterfly Connection in 2008! Let's get free and rock this town
'til the lights come up and the Dj says go home. And now, with no further adieu, the
2008 Annual Season:

And what if one year, one of these holiday spirits lost it's light, and was set out for the

to life to save one of their own. How far will light up reindeers go to keep a friend from
being thrown out? Discover the magic of Christmas in a brand new story created beyond
conventional boundaries.
