A Problem With Pets Lately we have experienced a lot of lost pets showing up at our door. We are more than happy to call the owner or take the pet back to its home. However, I would say that 3 out of 10 actually have ID tags on them and some have no collar at all. Owners should take responsibility and take the time (and very little money) to purchase a name tag with phone number or address and put it on their dog or cat. It frustrates me as a pet owner that other owners are not being responsible owners. If the animal has some sort of identification in the form of phone number or address, it is so easy to make sure they are returned home safely. Some owners think that just putting the pet's name is sufficient...that is not true. Knowing the pet's name is not going to tell you what phone number or address to contact. With that aside, if we happen to find or lose a pet in the future I suggest that we report it to the Choice Homes office (model homes) either by phone or personal visit. This would help eliminate the helpless effort of trying to find the pet's home. I know that there are some owners being it adults or children that are heart broken after losing their pet when in actuality someone in the neighborhood has found the pet but has no way of notifying the owners. If we lose a pet, report it to the Choice Home Office. If we find a pet, report it to the Choice Home Office. The phone number for Choice Homes Garden Springs Model Homes is: (817) 263-8087. Hopefully this will help those who do not put name tags on their pets. The Choice Home office can be a lost and found for the neighborhood. An HSM homeowner |
