New Holiday Garbage Schedule
Fort Worth garbage, recycling and yard trimmings are not collected on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
If your regular pickup day falls on one of these holidays, set out materials the following day. For the rest of the week, all pickup days after the holiday shift one day as well. Pickups before the holiday are not affected.
Thanksgiving 2003
• If your regular pickup day is Thursday, your pickup will be on
Friday, Nov. 28.
• If your regular pickup day is Friday, your pickup will be Saturday,
Nov. 29.
• From Nov. 28 through Dec. 3, you may place up to two extra garbage
bags outside the garbage cart on your pickup day. Extra bags are only
collected on your first pickup after Thanksgiving Day.
Christmas 2003
• If your regular pickup day is Thursday, your pickup will be
Friday, Dec. 26.
• If your regular pickup day is Friday, your pickup will be
Saturday, Dec. 27.
• From Dec. 26 through Dec. 31, you may place up to two extra
garbage bags outside the garbage cart on your pickup day. Extra bags
are only collected on your first pickup after Christmas Day.
New Year’s 2004
• If your regular pickup day is Thursday, your pickup will be Friday,
Jan. 2.
• If your regular pickup day is Friday, your pickup will be Saturday,
Jan. 3.
• No extra garbage bags are allowed outside the cart after the New
Year holiday.
If you have extra bags that won’t fit in the garbage cart, you may take them to a city drop-off station at no charge: • 3224 Yuma Ave., off E. Berry Street • 2500 Brennan Ave, west of I-35W
Drop-off Stations are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Days. Regular hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring a recent water bill or driver’s license to prove you live in Fort Worth.
