We are once again approaching that time of year we begin operating on our Winter Schedule (3 November 2008). Our Winter Schedule remains:

Saturdays, Sundays, and Selected Holidays
12:00noon to 4:00-5:00pm

While this is our official schedule, our closing time may change somewhat depending on the time of sunset, weather conditions (especially the temperature and wind conditions), and the number of passengers. The best way to check this is to call our voice mail at the Trinity Park Depot (817-336-3328). This number will always have the most recent information about the Forest Park Miniature Railroad. You can, of course, continue to call me at 817-834-2119.

Also, keep in mind that, whatever schedule we fellow, our timetable on Saturdays, Sundays, and selected holidays can be on the hour, every forty-five minutes, or every twenty minutes (when two trains are running) depending on the weather conditions and the number of passengers.

Low winter temperatures and increased wind can also affect our hours of operation, especially closing times; we may close at any time between 12:00 noon and 4:00 pm on days when the temperature drops and the wind soars. Again, the best way to check if we are open or closed is to call 817-336-3328. We generally change to our closed message ten to fifteen minutes before our last train leaves the Forest Park Depot.

We will be open the following holidays this winter season, weather permitting:

Thanksgiving
27 November 2009 to 29 November 2009

Christmas
19 December 2009 (yes, Christmas Day) to 3 January 2010

Martin Luther King Day
18 January 2010

President's Day
15 February 2010

Weather permitting is still defined as 55° or above, no appreciable wind, no appreciable precipitation.

Our prices remain:

Adults (13 years and above) $3.00
Seniors (65 and up) $2.50
Children (1 year to 12 years) $2.50
Groups (25 passengers or more) $2.00
Under one rides on their parent's ticket.

PLEASE NOTE: There has been some confusion this summer about our methods of payment: we do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or personal checks in payment; we accept cash only.

We will continue to run trains for large groups (fifty or more passengers) before our regular hours, weather permitting, if booked at least forty-eight hours in advance. We will also run such groups on days when we are normally closed (seventy-five or more passengers) with permission of our train master, Mike Miller fpmt@fpmt.us.

We continue to update our mailing list. If there are any changes to your mailing address, please call the Trinity Park Depot at 817-336-3328 and leave any changes on our voice mail. Also, if you wish to receive an electronic version of our notification letter, please contact us by email at fpmt@fpmt.us.

If you have any questions or comments, please call me at 817-336-3328 or 817-834-2119. You may also email me at fpmt@fpmt.us.
